Ranga Shankara is a commitment to the art of theatre, to the social fabric of our city, our state and its people. To keep Utopian dreams like these running, it is essential to have solid and dependable partners. While the Ranga Shankara building got generous donations in cash, material and services from several corporate houses and individuals apart from the Government, Ranga Shankara has been fortunate in getting corporate patronage after we opened as well.
Vodafone Essar Ltd. (Hutch when we began the relationship in Oct '04), supported us for four years. From this year, we have three companies backing us -- Biocon Foundation, Infosys Foundation, and Titan Industries Ltd.
Britannia Industries Ltd., supports Ranga Shankara's Theatre for Children program AHA! Since Jun '06, this partnership has grown from strength to strength, reaching out to several thousands of children every year, producing new plays for children and hosting national and international festivals.
Hivos has given us a generous institution building grant.
