The Fire Raisers has been performed in over 80 countries and its message is universal, its characters recognizable anywhere and it carries a strong resonance in today’s world. It is a clever and funny social satire on the all too human foible of ignoring advancing disasters.

 Would-be arsonists are housed and fed in an upper middle class home in the hope that by doing so, the good manners and kindness shown will result in “friendship” and the salvation of the home and family from evil.

This is Everyman at his most comic and absurd, the tale culminating in a hilarious farce of a dinner party followed by a ridiculous “theatrical” performance….
