The Tale of Haruk (For all above 5 years)
Everything in the world has its own world inside it!!! This is precisely what we learn from this Korean play.
Ranga Shankara is committed to bringing successful productions from around the world. Through our association with InkoCentre, you will recall that we had hosted the play ‘Choong Hyang’ last year, which was lapped up by Bangaloreans.
“Tale of Haruk” is a spectacular play that will hold the audiences young and old in a thrall like only a play from the Far East can. Puppets and masks made of Korean traditional paper offer a unique visual experience and the special music played live with a Taepyungso (Korean Flute) only makes it so much better, making it a larger than life and unique experience! The audiences’ jaws will drop at the sight of the cloth inflating to fill the stage when Haruk devours everything around him! The beautiful, heartwarming story gives us a chance to think about communication, desire, taboo, parental love and other things which might change our viewpoint on the world.
This is an AHA! Theatre for Children presentation in association with Britannia and offers us a unique and never-before opportunity to witness a very special play like this!
