Dear Friends:

March is upon us. And no, there is no Julius Caesar in sight yet.
After Footsbarn and countless celebrations at Ranga Shankara where we celebrated everything under the sun from music to films, it's yet another month with some fabulous productions to look forward to. March begins with one of our most admired directors Prasanna, whose play –“Cupid's Broken Arrow ” opens the proceedings at Ranga Shankara this month. Friends from Mumbai come back with two spectacular productions, a double-bill featuring “The Blue Mug” and “C for Clown”, with a stellar star cast. Look forward to Girish Karnad's “Odakalu Bimba” and “A Heap of Broken Images” that will premiere at Ranga Shankara this month. Arundhati Rao plays protagonist in the Kannada production, while Arundhati Raja features in the English production of the play. Making their presence in absentia at Ranga Shankara this month are greats such as Molière, Dario Fo and Franca Ramé, Pu ti Na, Tagore and Ibsen...may there be more.

And finally, Gokula Nirgama by Benaka will bring the month to an end. This play carries with it the undiminished halo of B V Karanth.

Come one, come all, like they say in MTV language.. YENJOY!

THEATRE LESSON
Robert Wilson, one of America’s most admired theatre persons constructs visual theatre
where repetition and slow movement are deliberate. Stunningly one’s sense of timing is altered, therefore a simple crossing of the stage can take as much as ONE HOUR!

Important: All shows start at 7:30 pm. Auditorium doors close at 7.30 pm.
No late entry permitted. Mondays holiday.
